Kids That Compost was created in the summer of 2019. The logo, bucket design, and bifold brochure were the initial marketing materials created to launch the organization and begin the compost curbside pickup service. The bifold brochure lists out the general concepts of Kids That Compost: DOs and DONTs, communities served, and the how-to steps. The buckets were designed to remind the subscriber what can and cannot be added to the bucket. Kids involved with Kids That Compost had the fun opportunity to illustrate some fruits and vegetables to also be added to the bucket label! The visual identity of Kids That Compost is playful and colorful but also bold and professional.

The International Awards Ceremony is the Council’s biggest event of the year and 2018 had a record attendance. We updated the look of the event envelope, one-pagers, membership envelope, mission card, sponsor poster and presentation slides and reformatted the program to make 2018 stand out from previous years. The rejuvenated design features gradations and graphic line elements from the Global Fluency Institute website and 2018-2019 The Global Report – both of which were announced at the event. We refreshed the design in 2019 and added a table card for attendees to get involved.

In 2018, the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium hosted a surprise party to celebrate Jack and Suzi Hanna’s 40 years with the Zoo. As the Zoo’s director, Jack Hanna helped make the Zoo what it is today, including its many educational programs and strong conservation efforts. In the design of these pieces, we pair Jack Hanna’s signature safari look with the sophistication of a high-end event. Die-cut leaves and a textured printing technique make this invitation package truly memorable. Ticket proceeds from this event launched the Jack and Suzi Hanna Fund for Wildlife Conservation, Transformative Education and Innovative Habitats.

The Global Report is released biennially by the Columbus Council on World Affairs to provide the community with a snapshot of the city’s global connections. We used infographics throughout this document to highlight the global fluency of the Greater Columbus region in a way that is easy to understand. Divided into three sections of People, Education, and Economy, the report includes statistics about global trade, world languages in schools and Columbus’ increasingly diverse demographics. The most recent trifold brochure also includes a large map, which highlights the international engagements of Greater Columbus-based companies and institutions.

At this annual event, the Urban Land Institute presents awards for real estate and land use development projects that display excellence in the responsible use of land and in creating and sustaining thriving communities. Ibel Agency developed the logo, branding and collateral for the inaugural Awards for Excellence for 2017 and 2019. Black and white architectural photography and structured typography reflect the subject matter of the event. Vibrant colors and condensed headline fonts give the pieces a modern feel.

Ohio Conference on Freight assembles over 300 professionals from across North America to share their expertise in the areas of supply chain/logistics, smart transportation technology, and federal and state policies supporting freight-related transportation and economic development. In 2017, Ibel Agency refreshed the conference’s old brand through the use of bold graphics, inviting colors and a cohesive composition. The collateral illustrates the integrated, multi-modal industry used to support economic growth in Ohio and the surrounding Great Lakes region. The program was the perfect size to be placed with the person’s nametag, or in their pocket.

The Regional Sustainability Agenda informs the Central Ohio’s local governments and their communities about MORPC’s goals and objectives related to the environment, including air quality, water resources, local food, trails, energy, materials use, growth and planning. In our design, we simplified and categorized the provided information to create a piece that is visually appealing and easy to digest. This informational brochure provides the public with statistics and stories that show the work the Foodbank is doing to get fresh food to hungry people. The design further develops the look established in the 2013 Community Report with a fresh take on the bright colors and food imagery. An accordion fold allows the viewer to flip through this brochure like a book or expand it out as one long piece that flows naturally from panel to panel to tell the story. Small infographics help to highlight the most important facts throughout.
