Mid-Ohio Foodbank

The Mid-Ohio Foodbank's mission is to end hunger one nourishing meal at a time while co-creating a sustainable community where everyone thrives. For over 30 years, this organization has been working with grocers, food companies, Ohio farmers, the USDA and community partners to obtain food and distribute it to more than 650 partner agencies and community organizations. Covering a 20-county service area, the Mid-Ohio Foodbank plays an important role in our region. Ibel Agency has been working with the Mid-Ohio Foodbank since 2012, winning two Gold ADDYs for printed publications.

2016 Community Report

This informational brochure provides the public with statistics and stories that show the work the Foodbank is doing to get fresh food to hungry people. The design further develops the look established in the 2013 Community Report with a fresh take on the bright colors and food imagery. An accordion fold allows the viewer to flip through this brochure like a book or expand it out as one long piece that flows naturally from panel to panel to tell the story. Small infographics help to highlight the most important facts throughout.

Onsite Display

This large-scale display features Mid-Ohio Foodbank’s Board of Directors from 1983 to present. The installation was strategically produced in a way that makes it easy for the Foodbank to update as the Board grows and changes in the future. The accordian-style panels also feature images and quotes that help tell the story of the history of the Foodbank.

Fresh Perspectives Tomato Brochure

This custom die-cut brochure helps to tell the story of how Mid-Ohio Foodbank clients are taking advantage of the organization’s commitment to providing fresh, healthy food. Based on surveys from the Foodbank’s Produce & Mobile Markets, the infographics in this piece show the impact and statistics surrounding the distribution of fresh produce. The unique tomato shape of this brochure makes it stand out and inspired a number of other produce-shaped promotional materials for the Foodbank.

2013 Community Report

Award Winner

This multi-fold brochure promotes Mid-Ohio Foodbank’s initiatives to end the hunger line in central Ohio. The bright color palette and felt paper conveys the Foodbank’s commitment to providing fresh, nutritious food and helps the piece to stand out among other promotional materials. Nutrition facts, recipes and stories are included to educate the public and to communicate that there is no single “face of hunger.” The design elements of this report set the standard for the new look of the Foodbank’s evolving brand.
