The Kids That Compost website was redesigned in July 2020. This new website dives deeper into the meaning of Kids That Compost, how the organization started, and highlights the kids with their bios and youth roles. Users can sign up for the monthly subscription service with options such as choosing your neighborhoods, what type of residence you live in, and how many buckets you want to receive. The Compost Quiz gives the user the opportunity to test how much they know about composting, landfills, and food waste.

This website takes a clean, minimal approach that allows the artwork to shine. The gallery’s current exhibition is featured large on the homepage and additional artwork is featured in a grid layout on the individual artist pages. From there, the user is linked to more detailed information about the artist and each piece of artwork.

The Avina Women’s Care website was what kick-started the Avina Women’s Care rebrand and new long-lasting client relationship. The website’s key feature is the ability request an appointment online with providers that work at different locations, offer different services and accept different insurances. This site tells a story to make the patient feel welcome and at ease when it comes to their health.
Avina Women's Care
The Avina Women’s Care brand launched in September 2019. Leading up to this, we created all new patient handouts, brand transitional materials, signage and more, covering all touch points of the brand experience. These pieces allowed the new brand identity to evolve into something tangible. The custom leaf designs represent growth and connection, and they aesthetically highlight and support the content to create a communication hierarchy.
Kids That Compost was created in the summer of 2019. The logo, bucket design, and bifold brochure were the initial marketing materials created to launch the organization and begin the compost curbside pickup service. The bifold brochure lists out the general concepts of Kids That Compost: DOs and DONTs, communities served, and the how-to steps. The buckets were designed to remind the subscriber what can and cannot be added to the bucket. Kids involved with Kids That Compost had the fun opportunity to illustrate some fruits and vegetables to also be added to the bucket label! The visual identity of Kids That Compost is playful and colorful but also bold and professional.
In 2018, following the initial stages of their new website, MaternOhio Clinical Associates decided to become a unified company and brand, now known as Avina Women’s Care. They were Ohio’s largest private women’s healthcare provider but functioned as seven separate divisions. We worked with them to cultivate a clear communication strategy and brand, while making sure all divisions and stakeholders felt represented, combating internal competition. We partnered with Storyforge to develop their brand story, while our team created their visual identity, which included a new name, tagline, logo, colors, typography, and photography. Their brand is a representation of a woman’s lifelong journey, strength, relationships, and support. Finally, we developed a strategy and plan to launch the new brand to the public in September 2019.
The International Awards Ceremony is the Council’s biggest event of the year and 2018 had a record attendance. We updated the look of the event envelope, one-pagers, membership envelope, mission card, sponsor poster and presentation slides and reformatted the program to make 2018 stand out from previous years. The rejuvenated design features gradations and graphic line elements from the Global Fluency Institute website and 2018-2019 The Global Report – both of which were announced at the event. We refreshed the design in 2019 and added a table card for attendees to get involved.

Ohio Capital Corporation for Housing took on a new format for the 2017 Annual Report. We designed and developed a microsite that houses all of the stories, photos, graphs and charts that have always been a part of this publication. The site features large images opposite copy – imitating the feeling of a printed spread. A slider navigation that takes the user through pages within a section also helps to retain the experience of storytelling and pacing. Because of the digital format, however, users can now interact with some of the map graphs and watch a video that features the work that OCCH does. We created this video in partnership with Loose Films to tell OCCH’s story for those users who might not be familiar with or have a deep understanding of the organization’s work. The microsite was updated with new photos, graphs and charts, and a new video for the 2018 Annual Report.

Every year our team designs a holiday wrapping paper set as a gift for our clients. The color palette changes from year to year, and each designer enjoys brainstorming and developing creative patterns and textures to celebrate the holiday.

The 2017 Annual Report built off of the previous year’s look and feel with strong imagery, pops of orange, modern charts and icons and a color-coded portfolio map. It features an introductory letter from Lisa Castillo, Merritt’s new president and affordable housing industry veteran, which reflects on the past and looks forward to the bright future of the organization.
