This website takes a clean, minimal approach that allows the artwork to shine. The gallery’s current exhibition is featured large on the homepage and additional artwork is featured in a grid layout on the individual artist pages. From there, the user is linked to more detailed information about the artist and each piece of artwork.

The International Awards Ceremony is the Council’s biggest event of the year and 2018 had a record attendance. We updated the look of the event envelope, one-pagers, membership envelope, mission card, sponsor poster and presentation slides and reformatted the program to make 2018 stand out from previous years. The rejuvenated design features gradations and graphic line elements from the Global Fluency Institute website and 2018-2019 The Global Report – both of which were announced at the event. We refreshed the design in 2019 and added a table card for attendees to get involved.

Ohio Capital Corporation for Housing took on a new format for the 2017 Annual Report. We designed and developed a microsite that houses all of the stories, photos, graphs and charts that have always been a part of this publication. The site features large images opposite copy – imitating the feeling of a printed spread. A slider navigation that takes the user through pages within a section also helps to retain the experience of storytelling and pacing. Because of the digital format, however, users can now interact with some of the map graphs and watch a video that features the work that OCCH does. We created this video in partnership with Loose Films to tell OCCH’s story for those users who might not be familiar with or have a deep understanding of the organization’s work. The microsite was updated with new photos, graphs and charts, and a new video for the 2018 Annual Report.

Every year our team designs a holiday wrapping paper set as a gift for our clients. The color palette changes from year to year, and each designer enjoys brainstorming and developing creative patterns and textures to celebrate the holiday.

The 2017 Annual Report built off of the previous year’s look and feel with strong imagery, pops of orange, modern charts and icons and a color-coded portfolio map. It features an introductory letter from Lisa Castillo, Merritt’s new president and affordable housing industry veteran, which reflects on the past and looks forward to the bright future of the organization.

In 2017, Ibel Agency worked with Merritt to redesign their website with a fresh look and feel. The clean and responsive site uses beautiful large-scale imagery alongside short, bite-sized paragraphs to highlight Merritt’s exceptional service to the affordable housing industry. The company’s extensive portfolio is featured in a masonry layout, clearly organized by housing type, location and development partner.
In 2018, the National Association of State and Local Equity Funds hosted its annual conference in Boston. Inspired by the liveliness of the city, our design features custom typography that portrays movement through the dynamic cityscape. The color palette used in the program and digital registration brochure reflects the nautical character of Boston’s oceanfront. We also created a Save the Date email, web assets and signage used at the event.

2018 marked the second year for the Columbus Black International Film Festival. We were proud to design the program for this event that the festival director calls “film activism.” The printed piece is designed at an easy-to-carry size that folds out to reveal the full schedule. White text on a black background references the credits of a movie and a hand-drawn texture expresses the authenticity of these original films.

The theme for the 2018 Dine. Drink. Dress. event at the Franklin Park Conservatory was Party + Empower. We paired strong, bold typography with a warm, “bubbly” background image that evokes the spirit of this annual summer event. This look was applied to multiple print and digital promotions for the event, which raises money to support Dress for Success’ mission to help women achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire and development tools. Throughout these materials, personal quotes from Dress for Success clients help to provide a personal connection to the cause.
