The theme for the 2018 Dine. Drink. Dress. event at the Franklin Park Conservatory was Party + Empower. We paired strong, bold typography with a warm, “bubbly” background image that evokes the spirit of this annual summer event. This look was applied to multiple print and digital promotions for the event, which raises money to support Dress for Success’ mission to help women achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire and development tools. Throughout these materials, personal quotes from Dress for Success clients help to provide a personal connection to the cause.

In 2018, the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium hosted a surprise party to celebrate Jack and Suzi Hanna’s 40 years with the Zoo. As the Zoo’s director, Jack Hanna helped make the Zoo what it is today, including its many educational programs and strong conservation efforts. In the design of these pieces, we pair Jack Hanna’s signature safari look with the sophistication of a high-end event. Die-cut leaves and a textured printing technique make this invitation package truly memorable. Ticket proceeds from this event launched the Jack and Suzi Hanna Fund for Wildlife Conservation, Transformative Education and Innovative Habitats.

Since 2009, Ibel Agency has worked with Ohio Capital Corporation for Housing each year to develop a new theme for the organization’s annual partnership luncheon. With the title of “This is home,” the 2018 theme aims to leave attendees with an understanding of the meaningful work that OCCH does in collaboration with its partners. The logo for this theme is carried through all elements created for the event, including digital invitations, an event program, a presentation template, nametags and a video that was featured at the luncheon. We worked with the team at Loose Films to interview residents and OCCH partners for this video. The final piece tells the story of how the work OCCH does gives people a place that truly feels like home.

The International Awards Ceremony is the Council’s biggest event of the year and 2018 had a record attendance. We updated the look of the event envelope, one-pagers, membership envelope, mission card, sponsor poster and presentation slides and reformatted the program to make 2018 stand out from previous years. The rejuvenated design features gradations and graphic line elements from the Global Fluency Institute website and 2018-2019 The Global Report—both of which were announced at the event.

Each year, MORPC hosts the State of the Region, which features annual achievements and a keynote speaker. Ibel Agency has designed and developed the theme of the event and all event collateral since 2014. The 2018 theme of “Growth. Development. Opportunity.” focuses on our region’s growth in the future. The design features bright colors and solid shapes to convey boldness and progress as we move into a new era.

We implement The New Albany Classic’s theme into the design of the event program, donor book, postcards, e-blasts, invitations, banners, social media assets, forms, event collateral, multiple ads and more. Ibel Agency works with the National Association of State and Local Equity Funds each year to theme and design the materials for the organization’s annual conference. Taking place in Indianapolis, the 2017 Conference theme was inspired by the city’s well-known Indy 500. The cover of the conference collateral features a photo illustration of a Formula One car racing through the city’s downtown. The layout of the program and registration brochure is structured and easy for the user to digest detailed schedule and session information.

At this annual event, the Urban Land Institute presents awards for real estate and land use development projects that display excellence in the responsible use of land and in creating and sustaining thriving communities. Ibel Agency developed the logo, branding and collateral for the inaugural Awards for Excellence in 2017. Black and white architectural photography and structured typography reflect the subject matter of the event. Vibrant colors and condensed headline fonts give the pieces a modern feel.

Ohio Conference on Freight assembles over 300 professionals from across North America to share their expertise in the areas of supply chain/logistics, smart transportation technology, and federal and state policies supporting freight-related transportation and economic development. In 2017, Ibel Agency refreshed the conference’s old brand through the use of bold graphics, inviting colors and a cohesive composition. The collateral illustrates the integrated, multi-modal industry used to support economic growth in Ohio and the surrounding Great Lakes region. The program was the perfect size to be placed with the person’s nametag, or in their pocket.

Since designing the brand in 2012, Ibel Agency updates the theme and marketing materials for the Film Festival of Columbus (FFOCOL) each year. An important source of art and culture in Columbus, the Film Festival features work by many up-and-coming Ohio filmmakers. This was the inspiration for the 2017 theme, which shows a camera emerging from a white background and a red bird breaking free (also a nod to Ohio’s state bird). Ibel Agency applied this theme to all of the event collateral including the website, ads, banners, social media assets, festival programs, tshirts, bags, tickets and passes.
